WiQo PRX-PLUS is a next-generation topical skin booster for professional use. Its patented formula has been clinically shown to be particularly suitable for mature skin, with a brightening and tone-evening effect that improves texture and firmness and reduces enlarged pores and deep wrinkles.

Developed by WiQo as a more stable formula after the success of PRX-T33, it offers the same benefits with stronger brightening, lightening and wrinkle-depth reduction. It is designed to complement PRX-T33, not replace it: the choice depends on skin condition, treatment goals and sensitivity.

Homocysteic acid reacts with the TCA salt, taking the ammonia away and freeing its acid form. Each active then works on a different layer, from the stratum corneum to the dermis, for a combined smoothing, brightening and tightening effect.

Ammonium trichloroacetate (ATCA)

The salt form of TCA. In the dermis it targets fibroblasts and stimulates collagen production, enhancing the skin's natural regeneration for a tightening and lifting effect.

Homocysteic acid (HoA)

Exclusive to PRX-PLUS, the only professional product containing it. An NMDA receptor agonist on keratinocytes and melanocytes, it accelerates skin turnover and draws melanin out of the melanocytes so it can be eliminated, for a brightening and lightening effect.

Citric and phytic acid

Citric acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid, reduces corneocyte cohesion for a smoothing effect. Phytic acid inhibits tyrosinase, the rate-limiting step of pigmentation, and supports the brightening effect.

Measured results after 3 sessions

Clinical study on 30 women aged 24–67 (mean age 46.4) who received 3 PRX-PLUS sessions, with instrumental evaluation after 2 weeks using Visia, Dermascope and Ultrasound L20 HD3. WiQo home care and daily sun protection were used throughout the study.

The evaluations showed a significant reduction in hyperpigmentation, wrinkle depth, pore size and sebum production, with a significant improvement in complexion and texture.

Is PRX-PLUS meant to replace PRX-T33?

No. PRX-PLUS is designed to complement PRX-T33, not replace it. PRX-T33 is ideally suited for sensitive skin, fine lines, melasma and cutaneous elastosis, while PRX-PLUS is recommended for deep wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, skin laxity and skin roughness. The choice depends on the patient's skin condition, treatment goals and skin sensitivity.

How does the formula differ from PRX-T33?

The two products have different formulas. PRX-T33 combines 33% TCA with hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid, while PRX-PLUS combines 33% ammonium trichloroacetate with 2% homocysteic acid and citric and phytic acid. Homocysteic acid acts on the melanocytes and helps eliminate existing melanin, which gives PRX-PLUS its enhanced brightening effect.

How does PRX-PLUS differ from PRX S?

Each targets a different primary concern. PRX-PLUS is for photodamaged skin, PRX S for oily and acne-prone skin and PRX-T33 for skin elastosis. All three share the PRX technology and the WiQo massage technique.

Will patients see results immediately?

Yes. The skin appears smoother and softer immediately. For brighter, longer-lasting results, a course of 4 sessions is recommended. Results are stabilized after a complete cycle: a maintenance session is recommended after 45 days, and a full cycle twice a year helps maintain them.

Is it painful, and is there any downtime?

No. The treatment causes no pain and no frost: slight tingling and redness during the first application are normal. There is no recovery time, and PRX-PLUS can be used all year round, even in summer, on phototypes I to VI.

Is home care part of the protocol?

Yes. Home care helps prevent side effects and extends the clinical results. WiQo Nourishing and Moisturizing Cream for Dry Skin restores the hydrolipidic film after each session, and the home routine is chosen according to the patient profile.
